As a Techno Geek involved in what is laughingly called "Multimedia Publishing," I applaud your efforts to acheive a paradigm of form without sacrificing intelligent content.
The dialog-style reviews are terrific, providing a sense of balance while also allowing a range of expression and humor. (Are the voices professional actors or the actual reviewers? Sound like the former.) And the slide shows give a greater sense of a product's look and feel than a few grimy screen shots on any magazine page ever could.
The attention to the capabilities of the medium is apparent; the length of your "letters" entries is an example. Also, generally speaking, I would never bother downloading a game demo û not worth the online time û but your publication is a great venue for them for that very reason. Best of all: A free game in every box! What's not to love?
Well, like others before me, I find the video/interview setup awkward. Also, rather than have to press the mouse button to get a menu during the reviews and articles (I might never have known there _was_ a menu), how about a floating tool bar, a la Pagemaker et al, that has the appropriate buttons?
But these are trifles. Just as #9 is probably a far superior effort to #1, I am sure that #101 will be even more remarkable. I can't wait to see it!
