To use VICTOR you must have a hard disk drive, OR a floppy drive for
diskettes of 720KB or more, OR two floppy drives.
The "source diskette" you are now reading contains the VICTOR software in
compressed form. Using the program VICCOPY on this source diskette, you will
create a working copy of the software in usable form on a "target drive,"
which is your hard drive or a second floppy diskette drive.
If your target drive is your hard disk drive, create a subdirectory on it for
VICTOR. (Example: to make a subdirectory named FLYVIC at the root level of
your hard drive C:, type C: at the DOS prompt and press Enter, type CD\ and
press Enter, then type MD FLYVIC and press Enter.) Make sure you know the
DOS "pathname" for this subdirectory. To do this, log into the subdirectory
(following the example above, type CD FLYVIC and press Enter), then confirm
the pathname by typing CD and pressing Enter; the pathname will appear (in
the example above, it is C:\FLYVIC).
If your target drive is a floppy drive for diskettes of 720K or more, place a
blank formatted diskette of 720K or more in that drive.
Transferring all VICTOR software to a single disk requires up to 450K of disk
space on the target drive. If you have no hard drive and your diskettes hold
only 360K, follow the instructions in the next paragraph.
