What is this program?
This a handicapping tool for use with the high tech and basic entries
report as provided by THE HANDICAPPERS DATABASE from Bloodstock Research
Information Services Inc. (BRIS) A basic entry report is included with
this file. If you are not a subscriber take a look at haw.bv for an example
of the basic entry report and hawht.bv for an example of the high tech file.
I'm sure you will not find this type of extensive data for handicapping
anywhere.
It also is the forerunner of a commercial product named the
THE HANDI VIEWER (C) which is designed to work ONLY with
the programmers data file which will be available from BRIS July 1st.
The programmers data file will contain all the information in a comma
delimited format. The current information is provided as reports
making parsing them a pain and BRIS could not guaruantee me that the
format would not change.
The commercial version has full online help, manuals, 30 DAY MONEY
BACK POLICY, ability to edit ratings etc.
Who am I?
My name is Joe Karas and I'm a handicapper who happens to be a software
devoloper also. This program was developed for my own handicapping
and it has helped tremendously. I feel it will also help your handicapping
also. I have realeased this program so current users of THE HANDICAPPERS
DATABASE can get a feel for the commercial program. You may use this
program without any fee but I will only support the commercial version.
Who is BRIS?
BRIS is a online service which for a fee provides the handicapper with the
most extensive handicapping information available anywhere. This includes
BEYER speed ratings for 30+ tracks, BRIS speed ratings for all North American
Tracks, BRIS class ratings for all North American Tracks, extensive pedigree
information for maidens and turf, earnings records, trainer information etc.
This information is provided in several types of reports including the
programmers data file (Available July 1st).
