a table of setups will pop up. Select one using the
and
or the locator on the top line, then press Enter
to use it.
Enter the indicated information to print on the check.
If the date is left blank, today's date will be used.
If the Payee is left blank, a lookup table will pop up
to allow selection of the Payee name. This is the same
Table used in the envelope printing selection. The amount
is required. The Name table can also be popped up by
pressing F4.
Press F5 to enter or modify the laser printer control
sequences. Press F9 to clear the check data. The check
data will be saved for the next time you run the program

the printer controls are correct, the printer will feed a
check from the manual feed tray and print it.
These are the HP LaserJet Plus control codes for the various functions
used by the printing routines. If you are using a non-HP printer with
LaserJet Plus emulation, you may want to change the Reset Printer and
Set Font Attributes control sequences to the native commands used by your
printer. The Reset
sequence should put the
printer in LaserJet Plus
emulation mode and the
Set Font Attributes should
select the desired font.
The font must be a land-
scape font, preferable a
12 pitch, 10 point font.
The positioning controls
should not be changed,
since the program will
insert actual positioning
values (in decipoints) into these sequences. The Reset Printer and Set
Font Attributes sequences are 32 characters long, although only 20 charac-
ters show at a time.
If your printer commands do not require an Escape, make the first character
of the command sequenc a blank.
Enter an envelope name. If the F3 key is pressed, the
Envelope Setup table will pop up. Select a setup using the
and
keys or the Locate box. Press Enter to use the
envelope setup.
Enter the indicated information to print on the envelope.
If the Name is left blank, a lookup table will pop up
to allow selection of the Payee name and address. From
this table, you can enter names and addresses. Any changes
made on this screen will be reflected in the permanent name
and address table as well. The Name table can also be popped
up by pressing F4.
Press F5 to enter or modify the laser printer control
sequences.
When the data is correct, press F2 to print the envelope. If
the printer controls are correct, the printer will feed a
envelope from the manual feed tray and print it.

keys to select a menu option. You can also select an option
by pressing the first letter of the menu choice, i.e. 'C' will select Check
Print, 'E' will select Envelope Print and 'Q' will select Quit.
Press enter to execute your choice.
To exit any screen (exit this menu), press the Esc key in the first field
on the screen, or Ctl-Esc anywhere on the screen. The PgUp and PgDn keys
will scroll the Name table, Ctl-PgUp and Ctl-PgDn will go to the first or
last page of the Name table.
Enter the name and address information in this form. This information will
be saved in a permanent file for future use. The first name line is also

form with the escape or
