  3. Locating Jones (Q&A obtained via Email)

  6. ~How do you locate Jones? I've finished the stupid mission from 
  7. ~Perry where I patrol some systems, and now I don't know where to 
  8. ~go. I've looked around where the Admiral said people dissapeared 
  9. ~but no-one was there. Any help would be appreciated.

  12. If you are where I think you are in the game, you should have been 
  13. contacted (via radio) by a pirate hired to set up a meeting between 
  14. you and a Retro leader opposing Jones at a pirate base in... Nexus, 
  15. I think, or one of the neighboring systems.  If you had played it 
  16. the same way I did (coming from the Troy system), the pirate would 
  17. have been at the first nav point beyond the patrol systems (ie. at 
  18. the first nav point you jump into after the patrol).  For me the 
  19. meeting point was conveniently right on the way back to Perry.

  21. Incidentally, as in Privateer, you cannot bypass the plot to finish 
  22. the game, as the key players are never there until you are on the 
  23. mission that puts them there.  I tried every star system in the 
  24. Clarke quadrant (based on a tip) looking for the first guy (the 
  25. $40,000 bounty).  Needless to say, it was a wasted effort.
