Labels:text | screenshot | font OCR: ALT-176: Right now, I do an average of maybe 1 long ansi per month simply because I love ANSI art, even though I don't call BBSes much, anymore . Telnettable or not, I'm in worry about the future of BBSes, based on their overall purpose in comparison to what can be achieved by other methods on the net (ftp for files, irc for talking with people). Deeply D: Yeah, it will never be the same as it was .. no point in looking at the past anymore. We have to go forward and carve out a place for our medium in the road that lies ahead. ALT-176: I'm seeing a lot of people who used to call BBSes all the time, stop calling those BBSes because they just use IRC/FTP/WWW now. Deeply D: yep ALT-176: I suppose as long as there are people like you who enjoy the medium for it's aesthetic beauty and not just it's purpose, it will live on. But like you said, it's also a matter of carving out a place for our medium . Deeply D: There you go. Deeply D: Oh, I dropped out of college.
