Description:
Rn is a replacement for the readnews(1) program that was written to be
as efficient as possible, particularly in human interaction. Rn
attempts to minimize the amount of "dead" time spent reading news--it
tries to get things done while the user is reading or deciding whether
to read, and attempts to get useful information onto the screen as soon
as possible, highlighting spots that the eye makes frequent reference
to, like subjects and previously read lines. Whether or not it's fas-
ter, it SEEMS faster.
-- Quoted from rn manpage (rn.1) by Larry Wall and/or Stan Barber
in the rn-4.4 distribution.
