Your owner wrote to us and told us that you don't like our humor. He doesn't either, but let's face it... he's just a clueless human - what does he know? We've been fervent admirers of your species ever since we first stumbled on that masterpiece of you and your pals playing poker. When we heard of you sighing and leaving the room when IE played, it really troubled us. So, we decided to change.
Over the last few issues of IE, savvy listeners (y'know, those of you who read the credits) may have noticed some changes in personnel, including a new managing editor (that would be me). One of my concerns has been with the humor in IE. Not that I don't think its funny... its BAD, to be sure, but that doesn't preclude it being funny. My concern is more that the focus of some articles has been more on being funny and amusing than it has been on the game being reviewed.
The humor isn't going to go away, but it is going to be toned down a bit, and the focus of each article brought back more squarely onto the game in question. I'd appreciate the feedback of both our loyal readers, and those of you who just picked up IE for the first time.
As for the issue of going to two CD's...well, that's been put way on the back burner. I firmly agree that $15 is too much for any periodical, even one as unique and wonderful as ours. We'll keep struggling with shoehorning everything into one CD for the foreseeable future.
