Well, this is a message that has come through loud and clear from our subscribers. As many of you perceived, the new packaging was to facilitate getting rack space with other magazines, and as such, it worked. I've seen IE, finally, at the front of the store in Electronics Boutique, as an example. The old jewel cases were always stuck in with the budget shareware CD's.
While you listeners know what IE is, getting that message out to the public has been tough. With every other magazine sticking a demo CD on their front, it became even harder to distinguish IE from just another demo disk. Thus, the magazine format packaging was born.
We dropped the jewel case for reasons of cost, but now see it was an error. At this point, the whole issue is moot, since IE will be coming with Computer Games Strategy Plus from now on (a more foldable package, at any rate). This doesn't address concerns of disk storage, but we're working on that.
Hope this change pleases those of you who had concerns with the cardboard folder fitting in your mailboxes.
