You are a little girl named Marie, off on a Halloween trick-or-treat adventure. But somehow you have gotten lost and now find yourself in a dangerous world of bats, ghosts, zombies and other evil denizens of the night. You've lost your way, but you are determined to make the most of your evening. So, you gather your wits and go off to collect whatever goodies you can as you dodge and run to freedom.
Be very careful, there are many evil creatures to avoid. Some of them chase you, some of them fire deadly weapons at you, and some simply cast spells on you. A list of your enemies, along with their abilities, is listed below:
Skeleton - Will follow you as long as you are close by. You can dodge and hide from skeletons fairly easily.
Bat - Uses sonar to locate you; once you are "spotted" the bat will charge across the screen until it hits you or runs into some other object.
Axe-Boy - Throws an axe at you. If you are fast, you can dodge.
Werewolf - Patrols a horizontal "path." If you cross the path, the werewolf will charge you until you move or he gets you.
Ghost - Smarter and more determined than skeletons.
Witch - Will cast a spell at you if you cross her path.
Gargoyle - Fires spells in four directions. You must block them to pass.
There are also pumpkins lying around that can be used to block spells and the axe-boy's axes. You can move them only by pushing them, so be careful not to push one into a corner, or into a position where you can't use it.
