Cholecystitis (Acute)
SYMPTOMS. Pain in the upper right abdomen that may spread to the back. With
the pain there is often mild fever, nausea, vomiting and flatulence.
CAUSES are sometimes from a chemical irritation but most often from the
cystic duct or gallbladder outlet being blocked by a gallstone.
TREATMENT. Antibiotics & bed rest.
.Surgery to remove gallbladder may be required.
