  20.         VISUAL GENEALOGY provides the ability to display individuals'
  21.         genealogy from three different viewpoints - his ancestors, his
  22.         descendants and/or his personal data. These views may be displayed
  23.         one at a time or all at once; switching back and forth with the
  24.         touch of a key.  This revision of VISUAL GENEALOGY (5.0) includes
  25.         a built in mechanism for creating or updating Genealogy files,
  26.         converting files to and from GEDCOM format and provisions to print
  27.         any of these viewpoints or to write them to a file for further
  28.         formatting or processing.  It is the new GEDCOM capability that
  29.         makes Visual Genealogy of interest to PAF users.

  31.         The look and feel of this program is very much like that of a
  32.         Macintosh computer or of a Windows application.  It uses only the
  33.         character mode of your computer and therefore does not need any
  34.         graphic display capability. Each of the viewpoints is in a window
  35.         of its own.  A mouse will make the program a little easier to use
  36.         because you can point to the choice you want on the various menus.
  37.         Everything that can be done with the mouse can also be done with
  38.         the keyboard.

  40.         The actual display of genealogical data should be self evident. 
  41.         You can scroll through all the data available, even if it doesn't
  42.         all fit on the screen at one time. You use the mouse and the
  43.         scroll bars at the edge of the window or you use the computer
  44.         directional arrow keys to move up, down or sideways.  The
  45.         appearance of the data in each of the windows can be further
  46.         tailored by using the settings menu.  Here you can choose how many
  47.         generations to show, whether to show the identifying numbers or
  48.         not, or whether to show all the information on each individual or
  49.         just his name and key dates.
