  1. PREPARE:  press the clutch pedal fully down,  put the car into first
  2. gear and raise the clutch to the biting point.
  3. OBSERVE:  look all around the car and assess the situation.
  4. Is the all round situation clear and safe to go?
  5. MOVE:  it's safe to go - release the handbrake and raise the clutch.
  6. Turn the wheel briskly until reaching right lock.
  7. ASSESS:  keep watching the road and the pavement and assess
  8. the situation, to see if you need to give way or stop.
  9. BEFORE STOPPING:  pull and push the wheel briskly to the left
  10. ready for the next move which is a turn to the left.
  11. STOP:  brake and stop so that the car doesn't touch the kerb.
  12. Press the clutch pedal down,  apply the handbrake.
  13. PREPARE:  press the clutch pedal down,  put the car into reverse
  14. gear and raise the clutch to the biting point.
  15. OBSERVE:  look all around the car and through the rear window.
  16. Is the all round situation clear and safe to go?
  17. MOVE:  it's safe to go - release the handbrake and raise the clutch.
  18. Turn and hold the wheel at full left lock.
  19. BEFORE STOPPING:  pull and push the wheel briskly to the right
  20. ready for the next move which is a turn to the right.
  21. MOVE:  it's safe to go - release the handbrake and raise the clutch.
  22. Straighten the steering as you pull away.
  23. MOVING AWAY:  check your mirrors and assess the road situation
  24. that is now behind you.  Move away smoothly.
  25. COMPLETED TURN:  this completes the car turning demonstration.
