  10. You want to print reverse text■white text on a black
  11. background■but you don't know if your printer will print it
  12. properly and you don't know the steps to do it.

  15. Concept
  16. Many laser and PostScript printers can print reverse text.  These
  17. are some of the more common printers:
  18.  
  19.       ∙  Apple LaserWriter
  20.       ∙  Apple LaserWriter Plus           
  21.       ∙  Brother HL-8V
  22.       ∙  CalComp ColorMaster Plus 6613 PS
  23.       ∙  HP PaintJet XL300
  24.       ∙  HP LaserJet III, IIID, IIISi, and IIIP
  25.       ∙  HP LaserJet IV
  26.       ∙  Kyocera ECOSYS aSi, FS-1500A
  27.       ∙  NEC Silentwriter Model 95 PS
  28.       ∙  NEC Colormate PS
  29.       ∙  Okidata OL 810
  30.       ∙  Okidata OL 830
  31.       ∙  QMS ColorScript 100 model 10
  32.       ∙  Sharp JX-9500PS.

  34. If your printer isn't on this list, you may still be able to
  35. print reverse text, but it isn't a default (built-in) feature of
  36. your printer.  Refer to your printer manual for help.

  39. Solution
  40. If your printer is able to print reverse text, 
  41.  
  42. 1     Press Graphics (Alt+F9), then choose Figure (1) and Options
  43.       (4).
  44.  
  45. 2     Choose Inside Border Space (3), and type .1 and press Enter
  46.       for each side.
  47.  
  48. 3     Choose Gray Shading (9), type 100, and press Enter.
  49.  
  50. 4     Press F7 to return to the document editing screen.
  51.  
  52. 5     Press Graphics (Alt+F9), then choose Figure (1) and Create
  53.       (1).
  54.  
  55. 6     Choose Size (7), then Set Width/Auto Height (1).  Enter the
  56.       width you want the box to be.
  57.  
  58. 7     Choose Edit (9).
  59.  
  60. You are now in the Graphics Edit screen.
  61.  
  62. 8     Press Font (Ctrl+F8), then choose Print Color (5), then
  63.       White (2).
  64.  
  65. 9     Press Exit (F7).
  66.  
  67. 10    Type your text.  
  68.  
  69. When you are finished typing your text, 
  70.  
  71. 11    Press Font (Ctrl+F8), then choose Print Color (5) and Black
  72.       (1).

  74. If you do not change the color back to black before you exit the
  75. box, it is possible that some of the text outside the box on that
  76. same line will be affected.

  78. 12    Press Exit (F7) three times to return to the document
  79.       editing screen.
