Installation Instructions IMPORTANT: INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS!! To enjoy the reports in the archive TMLN4WN.ZIP, unarchive the ZIP fileto a directory of your choice. These documents are designed to be viewedand printed with REPLICA, a state of the art document viewing and printingsystem for Windows that a) eliminates the need to own any Windows wordprocessor; and b) preserves the formatting, design and graphics whichwere part of the original document. YOU MUST FIRST START REPLICA ITSELF WHICH IS EMBEDDED IN THEFILE TL4DOC.EXE. YOU MUST BEGIN WITH TLD4DOC.EXE AS REPLICA ISNOT CONTAINED IN ANY OF THE OTHER FILES IN THIS ARCHIVE. If youattempt to view .rpl files in any other text viewer or word processsor theyeither will not open or you will view a great deal of garbage on screen and atotal loss of formatting and design. After unarchiving, start Windows andopen File Manager or whichever shell you use for directory and file viewing.Open the file list display of the directory in which you unarchivedtmln4wn.zip and SIMPLY DOUBLE CLICK ON THE ICON FOR TL4DOC .EXEIN THE FILE LIST WINDOW. THAT IS ALL THERE IS TO IT! REPLICA willstart and display the file tl4doc.rpl. You may now view each of thedocuments that comprise Origins of Mythology by opening each .rpl filewithin REPLICA by using Open on the File Menu. REMEMBER THAT EACHDOCUMENT HAS THE EXTENSION .RPL NOT .DOC. You may, of course, set up a program item within a group of your choice for tl4doc.exe as youwould for any executable program.REPLICA does not preserve the original margins of most documentsin that the right and left margins on the REPLICA viewing screen maydisplay wider than on those when the original document is viewed with theword processor that created it at resolutions above 640 x 480. If you findthe fonts displayed by REPLICA to be smaller than you wish, check to seethat your video mode is 640 x 480. Such a resolution will correct mostreadablity problems. Notice also that the View menu contains manyoptions: a magnification of 100% will give you terrific legibility but willrequire scrolling to reach page margins. The shareware version of REPLICA is embedded within tl4doc.exeand includes an extensive Help file. You may view an unlimited number ofREPLICA documents (.rpl) but you can only create 5 (five) REPLICAdocument files of your own. Registration of REPLICA is required if youwish to create an unlimited number of .rpl files. See About ... on the Helpmenu.
