STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION BEAMS ONTO
IBM COMPATIBLES
Spectrum Holobyte Expects a First-Quarter 1994 release
for Epic Based on Paramount Pictures' Hit
Television Series
European Computer Trade Show, London, Sept.5 1993 - In an
exclusive agreement with Paramount Pictures, Spectrum Holobyte
is moving at warp speed to produce Star Trek: The Next
Generation, America's number one syndicated hour-long series, for
IBM compatibles. The graphics adventure will include stunning 3D
graphics beautifully rendered in high-resolution Super VGA. A
first-quarter 1994 release is planned.
Spectrum Holobyte's Star Trek: The Next Generation will be an
epic in the grand tradition of graphic adventures with elements
of a sophisticated space-flight simulation. Players will embark
on the quest for the Fifth Scroll and experience a journey far
beyond their imagination with the crew of the Starship Entership.
The mission is to maintain the integrity of the galaxy. Maneuver
the U.S.S. Enterprise (designated NCC-1701-D) within a 3D
tactical space. Beam down the Away Team to investigate alien
planets. Explore any of the hundreds of stars within known space.
Use the vast resources of the Starship Enterprise to meet the
challenges that await.
True to the look and feel of the show, Star Trek: The Next
Generation offers a gripping storyline with the ability to play
any one of the seven main characters, either individually or as
a team. Take your pick - Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Counselor
Deanna Troi - or whomever the situation call for. As players
explore the vast universe, they will encounter adversary craft
in the best space-adventure sequence ever seen on the MS-DOS
platform.
Spectrum Holobyte's Star Trek: The Next Generation for IBM
compatibles is scheduled for a first-quarter 1994 release.
Suggested retail price not available at this time.
