EA*KIDS PRESENTS
PETER PAN: A STORY PAINTING
ADVENTURE
Available for the IBM PC and compatibles
EA*Kids has announced the release of Peter Pan: A Story Painting
Adventure for the IBM PC and compatibles and will be released in
January 1994 priced £39.99. Peter Pan is the first in a series
of classic tales that make up EA*Kids Story Painting Adventures
and is available in English, French and German version.
The story painting series is a totally new concept in children's
software. Part graphic adventure, part interactive cartoon. Story
Paint allows children to actually control the events in the tale
they are reading. With the help of the Paintbox Pals, a set of
animated paint tools, children can change night to day in order
to read a map, paint a bridge over a river in order to escape a
marauding villain, or choose any of a multitude of ways to help
the characters reach their destinations.
For instance, Wendy has fallen into the clutches of evil Captain
Hook, and Peter must come to the rescue. A dangerous pirate is
blocking Peter's Path. A child can choose Nick Lead (a friendly
pencil) and create a swarm of bees to chase the pirate away, and
the story will move on in a new and exciting direction.
Peter Pan: A Story Painting Adventure reinforces learing skills,
including reading and creativity. With more than 30 scenes and
250 interactive choices, Peter Pan's classic tale is bought to
life with VGA graphics, lively animations and digitised sound.
The program also features adjustable reading levels designed to
correspond to the skills of children aged 6 to 10.
