  10. This document contains release notes for the Beta Test Program 
  11. from MyLife Software. Information in this document is more current 
  12. than that in the manual. Information in online Help may also be 
  13. more current than that in the manual.

  16. reprinting, so some of the information in this file may already be 
  17. included in your manual.

  58. 1. The Beta Test Program now offers support to change colors 
  59. suitable for the developers application. This is done by using the 
  60. command line switch \SETCOLOR.
  61.  
  62. EXAMPLE :   C:\> BETARPT \SETCOLOR
  63.  
  64. A menu will appear allowing you to select the specific items you 
  65. desire to change. Changing a color is as simple as selecting the 
  66. highlited letter. After all colors changes are made select the 
  67. Quit option. You will then be prompted to save the new colors.

  69. 2. The \SC command line switch has been changed to \SETCOMPANY. 
  70. If you desire to select or change the development company 
  71. information you must use this entry.

  73. EXAMPLE :   C:\> BETARPT \SETCOMPANY
  74.  
  75. 3. Due to massive customer response the Beta Test Program now 
  76. offers up to 20 developer specific topics to be captured. The 
  77. initial setup is accomplished by using the command line 
  78. \SETDEVELOPER.
  79.  
  80. EXAMPLE :   C:\>BETARPT \SETDEVELOPER
  81.  
  82. Once the command line switch is entered and the program is loaded 
  83. a scrollable window will appear. Use the up and down arrow keys to 
  84. select the first or next window that is blank. Press ENTER when 
  85. the lighted bar is on the desired line. You are asked if you 
  86. desire to 'E'dit the data or 'Q'uit. Select 'E' and you will then 
  87. be prompted to provide the specific instruction for the beta 
  88. tester. The maximum field length is 40 characters for this 
  89. individual instruction. Once you have entered the specific topic 
  90. the beta tester will then be able to provide you with this 
  91. requested information.

  93. Once you have entered all the specific instructions to be 
  94. captured press ESC and this time select the 'Q'uit option. You are 
  95. then asked if you desire to save the changes. Select either 'Y'es 
  96. or 'N'o.

  98. Additionally, the BETARPT.HLP file should also be altered to 
  99. provide the user with additional information about the specific 
  100. item. The help topics are titled DEV1 - DEV20. The number refers 
  101. to the specific item. A maximum of 100 lines by 60 columns are 
  102. available to provide this help information.

  104. The 'F8' key is used to capture this specific information when a 
  105. beta tester uses BETARPT.EXE.

  110. Release of version 2.7. Included in the release is a partial 
  111. rewrite of both the Beta Testers manual and the user's manual. 
  112.  
  113. The BETARPT.EXE now will automatically place the file size, file 
  114. creation time and file date of the program being tested when 
  115. provided by the beta tester.

  120. Release of version 3.0 includes a new TSR option. This option is 
  121. activated on the command line with the use of a switch. The switch 
  122. to throw BETARPT into the TSR mode is;

  124. C:\BETA > BETARPT /r

  126. Hotkey selection is made by using the command line below;
  127.  
  128. C:\BETA > BETARPT \sethotkey
  129.  
  130. Any one of nine different hotkeys may be selected.

  134. Release of version 3.01 is a bug fix for the 3.0 version of the 
  135. Beta Test Program.
