DLBEGIN.PPE
DESCRIPTION:
This PPE play an important role in the Complete File Point System for PCB.
Just before a download begins, this ppe runs and makes sure that the user
does infact have enough file points to download the complete batch.
If the user does have the required file points, then it will display the
normal PCBoard prompt (unless you edit it, see below) and allow the download
to proceed as normal.
But if the user doesn't have enough file points for EVERYTHING in his
current batch, he will NOT be able to start the download at all, his only
options are to abort the download completely, or to edit his batch down to
an acceptable file point level.
INSTALLATION:
Simply go into your PCBTEXT and press F3 and select record number 550
and change the current setting to read:
!C:\PCB\PPL\FPS\DLBEGIN.PPE
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
|
--- this will be the path to where you unzipped the FPS to...
CUSTOMIZING:
All prompts/displays that come from DLBEGIN.PPE are available to you
for customizing, colors / text or both. They are stored in a text file
named DLBEGIN.PCB, which must reside in the same sub-directory as the
PPE itself. If you are just installing FPS for the first time, leave
this file alone, you can always edit it later. Use PCBEDIT.EXE for best
results when and if you decide to change the prompts.
