Custom New File Scanner PPE (c) 1994 by Midnight Slasher
Version: 1.00 Standard / Freeware
┌──────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
│ WHAT IS IT?
└────────────--
A very simple PPE to replace your "N" command. If the "N" command is
issued without command line parameters, this will issue a prompt that
allows the user to enter a NUMBER of days to scan the file areas.
Many systems have users that use automated script packages; consequently
all command line parameters are preserved (and this PPE is completely
unnoticed when command line parameters are used).
When a user is online and uses the "N" command to scan for new files,
PCBoard allows the user to enter a date to start the scan. It is rather
cryptic, so this mini-PPE will allow the user to enter a 1 or 2 digit
number. The system will then scan for new files since (TODAY [minus]
NUMBER(of days)). -> A simple PPE, yet hard to put into words :)
The default is to scan since their last scan date!

│ GENERAL INFORMATION
└────────────--
This PPE was compiled with PPLC v2.0 since PPLC v1.0 did not preserve the
"NS" (Non Stop) command line parameter - *very* important for those using
automated script programs.
You can enter an "q" at the 'Number of days to scan' prompt to quit back
to the main menu and abort the scan. (not important, but I believe that
the user (you) should be informed of all the program's options!)
This is an incredibly small and simple PPE; if you think of anything
that you'd like to see added, don't be hesitant in letting me know!
