What CD.PPE does
────────────────
The CD Availability Inquiry PPE allows PCBoard SysOps to have multiple
cd-rom discs available on their boards, using one or more cd-rom drives,
without having to post a schedule of disc changes. It allows your users
to use a simple command and get a display of the current status of up to
15 different cd-rom discs (online/offline/no disc).
Installation and Setup
──────────────────────
A) To install CD.PPE on your PCBoard 15.1 system, create a directory
on your harddrive and unzip the archive into that directory.
B) Create a configuration file called CD.CFG or edit the included
configuration file to contain the following:
1) Line 1 (and all odd numbered lines up to line 29) - The full
path to any one exclusive file on each cd-rom disc.
2) Line 2 (and all even numbered lines up to line 30 - A short
description of what to do to access the cd-rom referenced on
the previous line (up to 25 characters in length).
Note: The configuration file must contain no more than 30 lines
(15 paths / 15 access descriptions), but it is not required
to have blank lines in the file after all discs are entered.
The program will automatically mark any unused lines with
"No Disc".
C) Run PCBSetup and edit your CMD.LST like this (using your path):
1) CD 30 C:\PCB\PPE\CD\CD.PPE
