  9. Though there are lots of how-to guides for writing effective
  10. complaint letters, we, at Letter Press Publishing, know, that often
  11. a polite complaint letter to an unresponsive corporate or government
  12. entity neither gets the results you require nor conveys the levels
  13. of frustration and/or incompetence you have had to endure.  On the
  14. other hand, writing effective hate letters is truly an art form that
  15. can often provide more emotional satisfaction, in and of itself,
  16. than getting the response you sought in the first place.

  18. "Hate Mail Hall of Fame," coming this summer from Letter Press
  19. Publishing, is an inspiring, entertaining and thought-provoking
  20. collection of letters from disgruntled consumers and frustrated
  21. citizens seeking justice from the wrongs perpetrated against them by
  22. bureaucrats of all shapes and sizes.

  24. We are now soliciting submissions for Hate Mail Hall of Fame, Volume
  25. I.* There is no limit to how many letters you may submit, but we ask
  26. that you submit copies only.  While we cannot guarantee that all
  27. submissions will be published, we will offer free copies of the book
  28. to all those whose letters appear in the finished publication.  If
  29. your letter(s) is/are chosen, you will be notified in advance of the
  30. publication date.

  32. (*Note: While we will accept nasty, insulting letters rife with wit
  33. and sarcasm, we will not publish any material that could be
  34. construed as threatening or harassing.  The object of this book is
  35. to poke fun, not to perpetuate or condone personal vendettas.)
