VERMONT
LICENSE NUMBER FORMAT:
The State of Vermont issues an eight (8) character license number
that is either all numbers or 7 numbers with one letter (Annnnnnn)
or (nnnnnnnn).
DOCUMENT:
Photo licenses have plastic casing and gold "STATE OF VERMONT" on
the laminate. Non-photo licenses are of heavy paper stock or thin
plastic with green background.
TERM:
License is valid either two (2) or four (4) years, expiring on the
driver's birthday with a 2-week grace period for renewal.
MINORS:
Minor license indicated by "JUNIOR OPERATOR" in a yellow header bar
on photo license. Plastic and paper non-photo licenses are yellow
and titled with "JUNIOR OPERATOR".
CDL:
"COMMERCIAL DRIVER LICENSE" in blue headbar, with "sex" and
"endorse code" boxes designate CDL.
