OREGON
LICENSE NUMBER FORMAT:
The State of Oregon issues a sequentially generated numeric license
number of up to seven (7) digits that bears no correlation to the
driver's personal identifiers.
DOCUMENT:
The plastic laminated, photographic license displays the driver's
photograph in the upper right corner of the document. Current issue
license shows the camera number overlapping the left side of the
photograph. License issued subsequent to October 1991 show "DRIVER
LICENSE" in a repetitive pattern within the laminate over the
textual area of the document. The state seal appears in gold in the
textual portion of the license. Most issues display a vertical
pattern of state seals over the photograph within the laminate.
TERM:
License is valid for three (3) to five (5) years, expiring on the
driver's birthday. License can be extended for a four year term
with the application of a sticker.
MINORS:
Minor licenses issued subsequent to September 1986 show "MINOR
UNTIL ..." appears above the driver's name. Licenses issued to
drivers under 18 subsequent to October 1989 show "PROVISIONAL
DRIVER LIC" above the photograph as well. Minor licenses issued
prior to October 1986 use a blue photograph back drop.
CDL:
Commercial drivers license is indicated by "CDL" in the heading.
