  3.   LICENSE NUMBER FORMAT:
  4.   The  State of  New  Jersey issues  a  fifteen (15)  character alpha
  5.   numeric license number  with dash delimiters  to create the pattern
  6.   5-5-5: (Annnn-nnnnn-nnnnn) New Jersey  uses their own algorithm  to
  7.   generate a license number from   the driver's name, date  of birth,
  8.   and eye color.

  11.   DOCUMENT:
  12.   The    plastic  laminated  license  may  be  photographic  or  not.
  13.   Photographic licenses display the  driver's photograph in the lower
  14.   left corner of  the document and  display a gold  MVS emblem within
  15.   the laminate.

  18.   TERM:
  19.   Licenses are valid for four (4)  years, expiring on the last day of
  20.   the month issued.

  23.   MINORS:
  24.   Licenses   issued   to  minors  show   a  3/4  profile  photograph.

  27.   CDL:
  28.   Commercial licenses  are indicated  by "CDL"  above the photograph.
