This program requires a fossil driver, either x00 or bnu. I have tested
it with both, and it doesn't seem to care which you use.
Quick Start. Full Instructions in RIU.doc
For experienced users, unzip riuxxx.zip in it's own directory, Run the
RIUCFG program and answer the questions. You need to know the path to your
"Icons" file, your copy of "Ripterm", and your icon update file. If you
don't want an update, use the same file for both. Run it like any door,
in your logon or part of your system doors. Just have a bat file change
to it's directory, and put the path to your drop file (door.sys
dorinfo1.def etc.) without the filename on the command line. That's it.
It won't run from a dos prompt, but it will run in local.
Known Bugs
At this point I only know of three bugs, and it they aren't worth fixing
in my opinion. (Now if money and fix it demands start pouring in....!)
1. It won't run in local mode from the dos prompt. You have to install
it to look at it, but it is an easy installation.
2. After chat the display is a little screwy. Why chat with someone in
this door anyway?
3. In the registered version the ansi menu displays raw ansi on some
systems even with ansi.sys installed. Looks great on the users end
but not on the local terminal. I am persuing this one but I can't
duplicate it here.
