CENTRANET-CUSTOMER MOVES, ADDS, AND CHANGES (CMAC)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
CENTRANET-CMAC (CUSTOMER MOVES & CHANGES) is a Computer-based
Operations System which allows the CentraNet (Centrex) end customer to
prepare and implement feature changes and configurations, as well as manage
Automatic Route Selection (ARS) patterns of out-going traffic. These changes
are effected from a terminal conveniently located at the customer's premises
and achieved without requiring a service order and the associated cost and
delay of implementation.
CMAC will provide customer generated moves/adds/changes within a CentraNet
user group independent of GTE involvement. Customers will generate these
changes by logging on to the GTE CMAC system through a customer premise(s)
terminal. This terminal will link with the GTE computer that maintains the
CMAC software. The customer will input the changes requested and specify
when they would like the changes to be executed. The GTE CMAC computer
downloads these requests to the GTE central office according to the schedule
requested. GTE CMAC customers will pay a monthly fee for the use of the CMAC
services, but will not incur the normal charges associated with service
orders placed through the normal process.
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS:
Support of equipment located on customer premise(s) is the sole
responsibility of the customer. GTE will only become involved if there is a
problem preventing customers from making moves, adds, or changes.
BENEFITS INCLUDE:
- Reduced telecommunications costs.
