  1.               Unprotect for Mean 18 Golf EGA Version (IBM PC)
  2.             And for the Arch program included with Mean 18 Golf
  3.  
  4.  BE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR MEAN 18 GOLF DISK BEFORE STARTING AND USE THE
  5.  BACK UP FOR THE UNPROTECT. THIS WAY IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG THEN YOU
  6.  ARE NOT OUT A GOLF GAME..........
  7.  
  8.  First you should rename the file golf.exe to golf
  9.  
  10.      C>rename golf.exe golf
  11.  
  12.  Next Load golf into debug...
  13.  
  14.      C>debug golf
  15.  
  16.  Then Follow the sample debug session:
  17.  
  18.      -e d91d                    :   Edit the contents of address d91d
  19.  
  20.      XXXX:d91d  9A.             :   Should appear
  21.                                 :   If 9A does not appear.. press enter and
  22.                                 :   quit immediately.  Your version is not
  23.                                 :   the same as mine.
  24.  
  25.  Now type "EB" then press the SPACE bar.
  26.  
  27.      XXXX:d91d  9A.eb   3B.     :   Should appear
  28.                                 :   If 3B does not appear.. press enter and
  29.                                 :   quit immediately.
  30.  
  31.  Now type "1E" then press the ENTER key.
  32.  
  33.  Now write the new golf game back to the disk:
  34.  
  35.      -w  <Enter>
  36.  
  37.      Writing XXXXX bytes
  38.  
  39.  Then Quit Debug:

  41.      -q  <Enter>

  43.  Now it is time to rename GOLF back to GOLF.EXE

  45.      C>ren golf golf.exe
  46.  
  47.  Now try to run the new (Hopefully) unprotected version Of Mean 18 Golf

  52.     Here is an unprotect for the Arch program on the Mean 18 golf Disk

  55.  First you should rename the file arch.exe to arch

  57.      C>rename arch.exe arch

  59.  Next Load arch into debug...

  61.      C>debug arch
  62.  
  63.  Then Follow the sample debug session:

  65.      -e 610B                    :   Edit the contents of address 610B

  67.      XXXX:610B  9A.             :   Should appear
  68.                                 :   If 9A does not appear.. press enter and
  69.                                 :   quit immediately.  Your version is not

  82.      -w  <Enter>

  84.      Writing XXXX bytes

  90.  Now it is time to rename ARCH back to ARCH.EXE

  94.  Now try to run the new (Hopefully) unprotected version of ARCH
