  1.               -- IMPORTANT NOTICE INVOLVING THE RENEGADENET --

  3. Please read the following guidelines that are currently in effect on the
  4. RenegadeNET:
  5.  
  6. 1) No user shall post about any illegal activities such as and not limited to:
  7.    a) phreaking (using someone else's calling card number to make free calls)
  8.    b) pirating (making illegal copies of copyrighted software)
  9.    c) cracking (making software copiable by removing the protection schemes)
  10.    d) hacking (calling a Bulletin Board and gaining illegal access)
  11.  
  12. 2) Warring on the subs will not be tolerated.  Beginning now, we will be using
  13. the following disciplanary actions:
  14.    first offense: no action taken.
  15.    second offense: note from one or more SysOps explaining network rules.
  16.    third offense: removal of network priveledges for a period of one week.
  17.    fourth offense: permanent removal of network priveledges.
  18.  
  19. 3) Profanity will be kept down to a minimum on ALL subs and censored words by
  20. use of letters is not acceptable (ie, f%^k, s**t, etc.)  Those users who are
  21. consistant in using foul language on the network will be removed from access
  22. to it.
  23.  
  24. 4) Users of the network are asked to remain on topic and not to deliberately
  25. change the flow of conversation.  If a certain user is consistant in doing so,
  26. he will be asked to configure the RenegadeNET subs out of his NewsScan.  If he
  27. persists, he will be removed from the RenegadeNET for an indefinate amount of
  28. time.

  30. 5) If you have any comments, questions or ideas on subs, policies, rules or
  31. anything else pertaining to the RenegadeNET, please address them to The White
  32. Dragon (1@13000).  He will get back to you as soon as possible.

  35. will make it more enjoyable for you and everyone else.
