  11.     INGREDIENTS ------------------------------------------------------------

  13.        1 1/8    cup   Corn meal - yellow                                
  14.        1 1/8    cup   Wheat flour                                       
  15.        3        tsp   Baking powder                                     
  16.        1/2      tsp   Salt                                              
  17.        1/3      cup   Maple syrup                                       
  18.        1        ea    Egg - well beaten                                 
  19.        1        cup   Milk - sweet                                      
  20.        3        Tbsp  Shortening

  22.     DIRECTIONS  ------------------------------------------------------------

  24.     Add shortening to syrup. Mix all ingredients. Pour into shallow, well 
  25.     greased pan. Bake 20 minutes in hot oven. Cut into squares and serve  
  26.     hot.
