  14.        1/2      cup   Raisins                                           
  15.        2        Tbsp  Shortening                                        
  16.        1        cup   Honey                                             
  17.        1        ea    Egg                                               
  18.        2 1/2    cup   Flour                                             
  19.        1/2      tsp   salt                                              
  20.        1        tsp   Baking powder                                     
  21.        1/2      tsp   Baking soda                                       
  22.        3/4      cup   Sweet milk                                        
  23.        1/4      cup   Sour milk                                         
  24.        1        cup   Nuts

  26.     DIRECTIONS  ------------------------------------------------------------

  28.     Cut raisins and figs in small pieces. Cream shortening and honey well,
  29.     add beaten egg. Sift dry ingredients together. Reserve a little to    
  30.     flour fruits and nuts. Add alternately with milk, add nuts and fruit. 
  31.     Bake in moderate oven 325 F. 1 hour and 10 minutes.
