The Talking Checkbook Version 7!
What's new?
* We've added a credit card checking function that allows
you to test your balances to see if you really want to make that
purchase. We might not be able to stop the tears when you find
out you can't buy that thing you've been wanting since you were
three, but we can help you stay out of bankruptcy court. Just
press F3 for the function and you'll also get a bit of it when
you enter a credit card entry.
* I've added a biorhythm reporter. You ask why? Well, for
the heck of it and it is my birthday as I wrote the code and
figured it would be nifty to have a biorhythmic report to keep my
little brain entertained. After all, anyone who invents Tempo
the talking cat has a right to do a biorhythm thing. Press F5
for this nifty feature.
* The program is now compiled in Clipper version 5.2C which
is the latest (just out) stuff. Jamal Mazrui also did some
improvements to the speech code and so this version should be a
winner for folks who use speech like yours truly.
* I noticed that the "last two weeks of credit cards,
withdrawals, and deposit" reporting program was not speaking the
listings and so I fixed it. Nothing like expecting to hear
something and getting silence to bum you out.
* Don Barrett found a bug in the auto-backup procedure after
running the fixed bills database thing and he fixed it. Thanks
Don for the good work. I think we got rid of all those little
buggies now.
Enjoy!
