  5. The Garbo Archive, from the University of Vaasa, Finland, is now
  6. available on CDROM.  It contains about 400 meg of software, 250 meg
  7. for Msdos and 150 meg for Macintosh.  There is a huge variety of
  8. stuff on the disc.  If you want more details, just ftp to
  9. garbo.uwasa.fi, and look in the directories /pc and /mac.  In North
  10. America, you can look at the mirror site wuarchive.wustl.edu.  I
  11. took a snapshot of the archives on 3 April, and then collected all
  12. the new files on 18 April, so it should be current as of that date.

  14. The disc conforms to the ISO-9660 standard, the most common and
  15. generic CDROM format.  You can read it on almost any system.  No
  16. special software is required to use the disc.

  18. The disc costs $25.  If you are the author of any software contained
  19. in the archive, I will send you a free disc.  There is a limit of
  20. one free disc per person, so if you have written stuff on both the
  21. Garbo and Simtel CDROM, then you can have one or the other for free,
  22. but not both.

  24. Shipping and handling is $5 (per order, not per disc) for US/Canada,
  25. and $10 for overseas.  If you live in California, please add sales
