  7. Your response is sought for possible use in the Electronic Guide. 
  8. Please write any stories which relate to *any* aspect of belief 
  9. systems.  Following are two stories as examples:
  10.  
  11. "A minister I worked with told me of a group on the Georgia coast 
  12. who had 'gone overboard' in blaming all the problems of mankind on 
  13. demon possession and attempting to resolve all problems by casting 
  14. out demons.  A father took his rebellious son into the boy's 
  15. bedroom and tried to cast the spirit of rebellion out of him.

  17. Using the Standard Operating Procedure of commanding the foul 
  18. spirit to name itself, the dad spoke in a forceful voice, "What 
  19. is your name, you foul spirit?" 
  20.  
  21. Trembling, his small son answered with his name, "JJJJohnny." 
  22.  
  23. Then the daddy knew he was dealing not with a demon but with a
  24. rebellious little boy.  As the story was told, this caused the man 
  25. to think again, perhaps with more reality, about his own theology."
