  1. TITLE:   "FILENAME is already open..." Appears Using Grammatik

  5. PROBLEM:

  7. Attempting to use the Ami Pro macro GMKAMI.SMM to have Grammatik check an Ami 
  8. Pro file results in the message "FILENAME is already open.  You cannot save 
  9. any changes to this one".  The file is opened twice but Grammatik does not 
  10. load and check the Ami Pro file.

  12. SOLUTION:

  14. Due to the changes that have been made to the Ami Pro release 2.0 program, the 
  15. Grammatik 2.0 program needs to be updated in order to properly read and modify 
  16. Ami Pro 2.0 files.  In the Grammatik 2.0 update, the Ami Pro macro has been 
  17. updated to operate without generating the above error and the Grammatik 
  18. program correctly reads Ami Pro 2.0 files.  The original version of Grammatik 
  19. 2.0 incorrectly reads some Ami Pro 2.0 files (such as those containing 
  20. graphics) displaying inaccurate text.

  22. Customers who have recently updated to Ami Pro release 2.0 can receive from 
  23. Lotus a free update to the Grammatik 2.0 program by mailing in the Ami Pro 
  24. release 2.0 Warranty Registration Card (Lotus must receive the Warranty 
  25. Registration card by December 31, 1991).  Customers who currently own 
  26. Grammatik 2.0 for Windows can also obtain the updated Grammatik 2.0 program 
  27. from Reference Software, 330 Townsend Street, Suite 123, San Francisco, CA  
  28. 94107, 415-541-0226 for a $7.50 shipping and handling charge.  When obtaining 
  29. the update from Reference Software, ask for the most current version of 
  30. Grammatik 2.0 for Windows which is compatible with Ami Pro release 2.0.

  32. NOTE: The Grammatik update is designated as version 2.0, just as the original 
  33. 2.0 version.  Difference in the programs can be ascertained by the dates and 
  34. sizes of the file GMKW.EXE which is located in the Grammatik program 
  35. directory.  GMKW.EXE for the Grammatik 2.0 update is 368,976 bytes and is 
  36. dated 9-01-91.  GMKW.EXE for the original Grammatik 2.0 program is 356,144 
  37. bytes and is dated 4-02-91.
