  7. "Error 152: Failed to Open Control File" appears during an attempt to insert a 
  8. merge variable name and when attempting to mark a word for an index entry.
  9.  
  10. SOLUTION: 
  11.  
  12. The above error indicates that the Ami Pro file MACTOKEN.SAM has been deleted 
  13. from the Ami Pro program directory.  The two files in the Ami Pro program 
  14. directory that have a .SAM extension, MACTOKEN.SAM and MACDEFIN.SAM are 
  15. necessary for program operation and should not be deleted.

  17. If either of these files have been deleted, the simplest solution is to 
  18. reinstall Ami Pro.  The files can also be restored by uncompressing the files 
  19. from the original Ami Pro release 2.0 program disk 3.  MACTOKEN.SAM and 
  20. MACDEFIN.SAM are compressed in the file MACRODLL.CMZ.  The program DECOMP.EXE 
  21. is needed to uncompress these files (if the program is reinstalled, the 
  22. installation program will uncompress the files and DECOMP.EXE is not needed). 
  23. DECOMP.EXE can be obtained electronically from Lotus Development's Word 
  24. Processing Division bulletin board at 404-851-1371 and from the LotusWP forum 
  25. on CompuServe in library 2.  Download the file DECOMP.ZIP from either 
  26. location.  The program can be obtained on disk by calling the Customer Service 
  27. Department at 404-256-2272.  Request the DECOMP program.
