  1. TITLE:   "Unrecoverable Application Error" Appears During Printing

  7. During the processing of printing, the Windows message "Unrecoverable 
  8. Application Error, Terminating Current Application" appears.  Adobe Type 
  9. Manager and Publisher's PowerPak are both installed.
  10.  
  11. SOLUTION: 
  12.  
  13. The September 1991 issue of PC World indicates that an "Unrecoverable 
  14. Application Error" (UAE) may occur during the process of printing if Adobe 
  15. Type Manager is installed prior to installing Publisher's PowerPak.  The PC 
  16. World article provides the following solution:
  17.  
  18.   1. Run the Windows SYSEDIT.EXE program (System Configuration Editor).
  19.   2. Access the SYSTEM.INI file window.
  20.   3. Choose Search / Find.
  21.   4. For the text to find, type:
  22.      SYSTEM.DRV=ATMSYS.DRV
  23.   5. Delete this line.
  24.   6. Choose Search / Find.
  25.   7. For the text to find, type:
  26.      ATM.SYSTEM.DRV=SYSTEM.DRV
  27.   8. Change this line to read:
  28.      SYSTEM.DRV=SYSTEM.DRV
  29.   9. Choose File / Save to save the changes.
  30.  10. Exit Windows completely to the DOS prompt.
  31.  11. Reinstall Publisher's PowerPak first, then reinstall Adobe Type Manager 
  32.      according to the installation instructions for these products.
