TITLE: Tab After in Special Effects Style Option
PRODUCT: Ami Pro 2.0
DATE: 08-Oct-1991
PROBLEM:
A document created in Ami Pro release 1.2 with the Tab After option applied to
Special Effects in a style is not carried over when the document is opened in
Ami Pro release 2.0.
SOLUTION:
There is no Tab After option in Ami Pro release 2.0 Special Effects options.
Any document or style sheet from a previous version of Ami Pro containing
styles with Special Effects text and Tab After will convert to a value of .25
in the Special Effects Space For option in release 2.0 (this value will also
be the value for First under Alignment as the amount of indention for the
first line of the paragraph). The value for Space For can be easily changed
by following these steps:
1. Open the document or style sheet and make it the active window.
2. Choose Style / Modify Style.
3. In the Modify Style dialog box, select the style which has the special
effects that should be modified.
4. Choose Special effects in the Modify options.
5. Increase the Space For value in Before paragraph options to the desired
number (for example, if the special effects tab was located one half inch
between the special effects text and the paragraph, set the Space For
value to .50 for one half inch).
6. Choose OK.
7. If the changes are being made to a document, choose File / Save to save
the changes. If the change is being made to a style sheet:
a. Choose Style / Save as a Style Sheet.
b. The Save as Style Sheet edit box will contain the name of the current
style sheet. Leaving this name will overwrite the existing style sheet
file. Specify another style sheet name if the original style sheet
should not be overwritten.
c. Choose the With Contents and Run Macro options if desired.
d. Choose OK.
NOTE: Special Effects Space For values specified in documents and style sheets
created in releases prior to 2.0 will be retained in release 2.0.
