  6. FLAME GROWS LOUD, THEN BLOWS OFF END OF TORCH AND EXPIRES:
  7.     - REASON: Overall gas pressure is too high.
  8.     - CURE: use larger torch tip or turn down gas pressures.
  9.  
  10. FLAME POPS AND GOES OUT OR GOES INTO TORCH TIP AND WHISTLES:
  11.     - REASON: Pressure is not high enough for the tip. The
  12.     flame is "pre-igniting." It is trying to burn back into
  13.     the tip faster than the gas is coming out.
  14.     - CURE: Use a smaller tip or increase the gas pressures.
  15.  
  16. TUBE DOES NOT MELT:
  17.      - CURES: Move torch closer; use larger tip or more
  18.      pressure; hold still.
  19. FLAME POPS AND SPRAYS MOLTEN STEEL:
  20.      - REASON: Sparks from the steel cause the torch to pre-
  21.      ignite. Resulting explosion blasts the steel puddle.
  22.      - CURE: Use more gas pressure or smaller tip.
