ing equipmnet,  a medium-size tip,
on your torch. Set the  regulators
to 5 psi, and light the flame.
    Heat a point on the top of the
steel  tube,  about  1"  from  the
right-hand  edge.  Your  torch tip
should be about 1/4" to 3/8"  away
from the tube. The flame should be
hitting it at an angle of about 45
degrees. Watch as the steel  turns
red.  Continue  to  watch  as  the
steel starts  to  "sweat." See  it
start to melt.  Keep  watching  as
the puddle expands, until finally,
under its own weight,  the  puddle
collapses and where it was,  there
is now a hole.
    This demonstrates the extreme.
You must know  how far you can go.
Melt a couple more holes.
