This is a general pointer. They come in different sizes, angles, and colors.
The cross or plus is generally seen in spreadsheets.
The magnifying cursor is used to enlarge and zoom on a particular object.
The I-Bar is used for text entry in almost all applications.
The hand is used for allowing you to see when the cursor is "hot" or can click on an object.
The eyedropper is for paint programs to identify colors
The lasso is used to cut or copy objects surrounded by it. It is also used to move objects in some applications.

To insert a diskette, hold the label side up and the shiny round part down. Insert the diskette, metallic side first into the diskette drive. To eject the diskette, press the diskette drive eject button.

To load a CD, place the CD label up into the tray. If you have an external CD-ROM drive, you may need a caddy. Insert the CD into the caddy, then insert the caddy into the CD player.
