  8. career out of it. Exception: JERRY SEINFELD, comedy's master
  9. chronicler of mundane absurdity. What's been driving him nuts
  10. this week? High-finance-charge credit cards. "Have you ever seen
  11. how many words there are on the bottom of a Visa bill?'' says
  12. Jerry. "It's unbelievable." Good thing Seinfeld was tapped to
  13. plug the American Express card in edgy new adds that knock the
  14. competition. One features Jerry lecturing a goldfish on
  15. revolving debt. Quirky, yes, but then again, Am Ex had the comic
  16. pen the ads himself. "I always wanted to write ad copy," says
  17. Jerry. "It's a lot like writing jokes."
