  8. seven-eighths of the women in it. Not that high-fashion model
  9. in the middle, Linda Evangelista, but the Sicilian seniors
  10. arranged about her on a billboard overlooking Times Square.
  11. Though the Kenar clothing ad memorializes AIDS victims
  12. (represented by the empty chair), Evangelista's angry co-models
  13. say the good deed was built on bad faith. The women of the
  14. hillside village of Savoca say they were paid about $15 each to
  15. pose with Evangelista (said to earn up to $25,000 a day), but
  16. thought the photo would only battle a disease, not promote a
  17. fashion label as well. The Savoca Seven are preparing a very
  18. American response: a lawsuit.
