  8. If you have a problem with Trellis, what do you do? Unfortunately, since I
  9. am allowing free distribution and use of this version of the software, I am
  10. going to have no financial gain from it which makes it unsound practice to
  11. offer any kind of support for it - Soft Rock Software is, after all, a
  12. business. Time is money, and all that.

  14. Therefore, the best I can offer are two options:-

  16. Firstly,
  17.          you can buy the latest version of the software. Please write to:-

  25. for information on the latest version/prices. I should point out that if you
  26. do this you will be buying a version of the software which is ***NOT*** free
  27. for distribution - any games you write will require Soft Rock Software's
  28. permission to include the appropriate Trellis files with them.

  31.          you can write for help and hope that I have time to reply. I can't
  32. promise anything, but my name isn't Ebenezer Scrooge. If I can find the time
  33. I'll try to help. What I would ask, however, is that you DO NOT USE THE
  34. FREEPOST ADDRESS. It's a bit much to use my software for free and then
  35. expect me to pay for the postage when you get stuck! The address to use is

  42. If you include and SSAE you are even more likely to get my help. It would
  43. help me to help you if you could also supply a copy of the game you are
  44. writing (but please note, this does not constitute the free copy mentioned
  45. in Part7!), a map, and a solution. (I have to be able to get to the point
  46. where your problem occurs in order to investigate it!) I will try to solve
  47. your problem or answer your question as quickly as possible, but please be
  48. very patient as I do have a very busy schedule. (There is one good thing
  49. about 'Microsmashed Windows' and 'Ms Dross' - they sure keep my pennies
  50. rolling in where people have problems with them!)

  52. Upgrades will NOT be made available for this version. This is the last 'text
  53. only' release of the software. The only upgrade path I can make available to
  54. you is option one, above - buy the current version!
