Labels:text | screenshot | font | number | paper OCR: CERVIX T `HE CERVIX is the neck of the uterus (womb). It is a narrow channel that separates the vagina from the body of the uterus. It responds to the cyclical secretion of the female sex hormones, secreting mucus that changes in character during the menstrual cycle. The cervix is firm under normal circumstances, but during pregnancy the cervix swells and changes color. It becomes much more elastic so that during labor it can stretch to allow the baby to pass through it.
