OCR: CTRL-S to pause, CTRL-Q to resume . Backgammon Help Select option "1 to begin game play. Enter player names at the prompts. The backgammon board is then drawn. The first thing you need to do is decidewho goes first. You will see a "First 12r?" prompt. Enter "1" if you wantplayer 1 to go first, "2" if yo u want player 2 to go first, or "r" if you wantthe computer to decide at random. Player 1 controls the yellow pieces and mustmove to the yellow home area at the upper left of the screen. Player 2controls the blue pieces and must move to th e blue home area at the upperright. At the start of each turn the dice roll is shown. If a player cannotmove the computer will automatically end their turn. To move a piece enterthe letter of the column of the piece to be moved, then a d ash "-", then the letter of the column to be moved to. For example, "a-c" wouldm ove a piece from column "a" to column "c" if the move is valid. If you enteran invalid move no harm is done. Simply re-enter the move. For movesinvolving the bar or when removing a piece use the <SPACE BAR> as acoordinate (" -a" would mo ve a piece from the bar to column "a", while"a- " would move a piece off of the board from column "a"). You can enterchat mode at any move prompt by entering c" alone. If your screengets corrupted due to line noise you can re-draw it by entering "r"at a move prompt. When a game ends you enter chat . Acey Deucy The rules are the same as regular Backgammon with the followingexceptions: Doubles and 2-1 give you an extra turn. If you roll 2-1 in two consecutive tur ns you get to pick a roll. All pieces start on the bar. You do not have to r emove all pieces from the bar before moving pieces around the board
