CLOCKIT

This game is based on a not very well made game called Rubik's clock I bought
a couple of years ago and had forgotten about. It has nine clocks on each side,
and the object of the game is to get all the hands to point to 12 o'clock.
Unfortunately it's almost impossible to turn the hands on the clocks, which
made me think it might be a good candidate for a computer game. The result is
what you see here.
This game was placed in the public domain in January 1992.
THE OBJECT OF THE GAME
The object of the game is to get all the hands on the clocks to face
12 o'clock with all the clocks turned on.
TURNING CLOCKS ON AND OFF
Clocks can be turned on or off. A clock is on if its face is light and off if
it is dark. Turn clocks off or on by clicking in the middle of a square of
four clocks. Any clocks that were turned on will be turned off and vice versa.
MOVING THE CLOCK HANDS
Turn the hands on all the clocks that are on by positioning the mouse pointer
to anywhere on the red background. Clicking the left mouse button will turn
the hands clockwise. The right button will turn them anticlockwise. The number
of times you have moved the hands on the clock is displayed in the Turns
button.
SETTING THE DIFFICULTY LEVEL
The number displayed in the Do In button on the right side of the screen
indicates the number of moves it will take to get all the hands to point
to 12 o'clock. A move is any mouse click that causes the clock hands to
turn. This value will be increased by one each time you solve four puzzles.
Click the left mouse button on the Do In button on the right side of the
screen. You will be prompted to enter a number from 1 to 99. Type in a
number and press Return. The higher the number the more difficult it will
be to solve.
STARTING A NEW GAME
Click on the New Game button to generate a new puzzle to solve.
RESTARTING A PUZZLE
If you get confused trying to solve a puzzle you can restore the puzzle to
its original starting position by clicking the Restart button.
CHANGING THE NUMBER OF CLOCKS
Change the number of clocks to work with by clicking on the Size button.
You can choose between 3x3, 4x4, 5x5 and 6x6.
QUITTING
When you have finished playing the game, quit by clicking on the Quit
button.
