Usage Graph... - Makes Telegard .MSG file of Daily System Usage
For the Telegard Bulletin Board System Version 2.7

What it does:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This little program makes a user specifiable .MSG file using Telegard color
codes of the daily system usage in a vertical bar chart.
How to run it:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This program will run from ANY drive or directory as long as the DOS enviroment
variable BBS=D:\BBS\ is in the enviroment. Alls this means is that you need to
put in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file the line SET BBS=D:\BBS\ (make sure you re-boot
for the change to take effect). Make sure you replace the D:\BBS\ with the
drive and path to your main BBS files (for example the directory in which
TELEGARD.EXE and STATUS.DAT reside). And don't forget to put the trailing "\"
at the end of the path!
Place the file USEGRF.EXE in any directory you want and type the file name to
run it. The program will automagically find your STATUS.DAT file and SYSOP.LOG
file and make a file called USEGRF.MSG and put it in your Afiles directory
(where all the .ANS and .MSG files are).
You can run this program either after each call or as a nightly event. You can
do this from the batch file that calls Telegard (if you're running a mailer
like FrontDoor or D'bridge or any other mailer), or you can run it from the
LOGON.BAT, BBSSTART.BAT, or LOGOFF.BAT files that Telegard supports, or you can
run it from your nightly event batch file.
You can specify the filename that you want USEGRF to create for you. For
example, if you wanted the filename USAGE.MSG to be created, you would run the
program like this: USEGRF USAGE (do not include the filename extension '.MSG',
USEGRF will automagically add it!) If you do not specify a filename, USEGRF
will automagically create a filename called USEGRF.MSG
You can also select what colors YOU want the USEGRF screen display. There are
instructions in the file called USEGRF.DAT itself, so I won't go into detail
here other than to say that it is a plain ASCII file that can be edited with
your favorite editor.
This file is optional, but if it's used, it needs to be in the same
subdirectory as the USEGRF.EXE program. If you don't use the USEGRF.DAT file,
default colors that I have selected will be used instead, and the registration
code will default to '0'.
You NEED the USEGRF.DAT file if you have registered, otherwise the program will
not run after the expiration date and your BBS name will not appear on the
graph.
I run the program as a nightly event just before 12 midnight so the graph
displays the previous days system usage, but you could run the program after
every logoff to keep an up-to-date today's usage graph.
Hint:
~~~~~
You can either use the file USEGRF.MSG (or whatever you called it) as a
bulletin file, or add a new menu entry to any of your Telegard menus and edit
it to look something like this:
1. Long descript :(U)sage Graph - Display a Usge Graph
2. Short descript:(U)sage Graph
3. Cmd letters :U
4. ACS required :
5. Cmdkeys :-F
6. MString :USEGRF (Or whatever you called the output file)
Flags :None
Q. Quit
Note
~~~~
This is a trial version of this program only. It will not run after August 31,
1992. If you find that this program is usefull to you, see USEGRF.REG for
additional information.
