  1.                        ModemNews Operation
  2.                            ------------

  4. Open your copy of ModemNews into the subdirectory in which you
  5. normally run and/or save your ModemNews Magazine issues.  All you
  6. will need to do now (after you've read our included files) is to type
  7. NEWSxx (xx = issue number, i.e. NEWS34).  It is important that the
  8. following line reside in your CONFIG.SYS file;
  9.  
  10.                         DEVICE=ANSI.SYS
  11.  
  12.       If it does not, ModemNews will not function properly.

  15. While you're reading:
  16. --------------------
  17.  
  18. The following keys are active from any `menu' screen;
  19.  
  20. F1    = brings you a help screen that will give you most of this
  21.         information.
  22.  
  23. Q     = Will quit ModemNews from any menu screen and display our end
  24.         screens.
  25. R     = Will always return you to PageOne, our Main Menu.
  26.  
  27. I     = Instant Out Feature
  28.  
  29. The following keys are active while reading any article on you HOME PC.
  30.  
  31. F2    = Save current Article to disk.
  32.  
  33. D     = Page Down
  34.  
  35. U     = Page Up
  36.  
  37. B     = Go to First Page (beginning)
  38.  
  39. L     = Go to Last Page (last page)
  40.  
  41. ESC   = Quit reading article
  42.  
  43. Submissions to ModemNews may be made to any ModemNews NewsStand or
  44.                  directly to ModemNews OnLine.
