This game is distributed under the Shareware concept. You are
allowed to operate this IGM for a trial period of thirty (30)
days, but will not cripple itself untill 60 days (Damn, i'm nice
<G>). After this trial period, you must register the IGM or
discontinue its usage. Again if you do not agree with this then
do NOT use this IGM.
INTRODUCTION:
------------
I Wrote this (I)n (G)ame (M)odule for lord, this is the first of
many to come, so your comments are requested. In the GraveYard you
can search for a friend's grave, dig it up and see what treasures
you find, you will get all different things while lurking around
in here. You can bring things to the Ghost House and try to pawn
them, for a price.
REQUIREMENTS:
------------
You MUST be running L.O.R.D. for this module uses it's drop files.
SHARE must be loaded IF you intend to use the game in a multi-node environment OR under DesqView. The game is RIP aware but NOT a RIP Game at this time. A FOSSIL is NOT required to run the game, although one will be supported if it exists. Automatic time slicing support is provided
to most common multi-taskers as well.
Files Included
--------------
Below is a listing of all files for the this Game. If you are
missing ANY of these files (except for the DOC and FRM files), the
game will NOT function. Feel free to give out copies of the ENTIRE
archive package of this game but please make sure all the files
below are in that package:
GRAVEYD.DOC - The document your are reading.
GRAVECFG.EXE - Configuration program for the graveyd
use this program to enter registration info.
MUST be run for the GraveYard to Work.
GRAVEYD.EXE - Main program file. this is the file lord loads when a
player goes into The GraveYard.
GRAVEREG.FRM - Registration form for The GraveYard.
GRAVE01.ANS - Contains some of the ANSI's used in the GraveYard.
GRAVEYD.CFG - The Custom pricing file for Item's traded in the
Ghost shop, only read if The GraveYard is
REGISTERED! My be changed from within GRAVECFG.EXE
via the <S> command. If REGISTERD and file not found
it will load the defaults.
These files will be created by GRAVECFG.EXE:
GRAVEYD.DAT - Log of who has played The GraveYard today.
Created by GraveYd.exe if it doesn't exist.
This file is updated everytime a player enters
the IGM. It automatically resets everyday.
NOTE: this file is created & kept in your LORD
directory, if you run more than 1 copy of LORD, you
need only 1 copy of the igm, read the section later
on multi-game support (NOT Multi-node).
GRAVEYD.CTL - Configuration File >>Do NOT change anything in this
with a text editor!! use GRAVECFG.EXE!<<
These files are used by The GraveYard:
3RDPARTY.DAT - GRAVECFG.EXE writes to this file. this is how
L.O.R.D. knows you have this IGM.
INFO.<NODE> - L.O.R.D.'s drop file contains info on current user.
Installation
------------
1. Unzip The GraveYard into a directory of your choice.
example: "C:\DOORS\LORD\" or "C:\DOORS\LORD\GRAVEYD\"
2. Make sure that ALL files listed above from the IGM package
are moved into that directory.
3. Type "GRAVECFG.EXE" and hit the enter key. A menu will appear,
Choose "C" for Configure. It will now ask you for your first name,
if you have recieved a Registration code enter your name EXACTLY
as it appears on your registration card. (CAPS Sensitive) Next
comes your number, that too is CAPS sensitive.
4. Select "Install" to add The GraveYard to your 3rdparty.dat file. Your
done, now ready to let people play. (wasn't that easy?)
6. To insure proper multi-node use DOS SHARE must be loaded
prior to the game and prior to DESQview.
7. In order to run the game program online the following
parameters may be used, but must be added manually.
Info if you run more than 1 copy of LORD
----------------------------------------
-=- IF you run more than one copy of LORD you need only 1 copy
of the IGM, do the following:
1. Create A Separate Directory for The GraveYard (separate from LORD
if LORD.EXE resides in the same dir as The GraveYard, config
will not let you setup more than 1 copy)
2. Copy/unzip the files for The GraveYard into that directory.
3. Run GRAVECFG.EXE as normal, but run the install for as many
copies of LORD as you have
Ex:
lets say you run two (2) copies of lord, in the directories
"C:\LORD1\" & "C:\LORD2\" you would run the <I>nstall 2 times
and enter "C:\LORD1" the first time & "C:\LORD2" the second.
without the " of coarse. That's all you need to do, the
configuration files are kept in the GraveYard's directory while
the "GRAVEYD.DAT" which keeps track of who has entered resides
in the lord dir, so a player may enter from 1 lord game, and
another without entering from 1 game counting against him/her
